Happy Wednesday, everyone! As you can see from the title, today’s post is a bit different from our usual historical and mystery-based themes, and is just for fun. No policies or partisanship here. We want to talk about the stuff that people really care about.

At least the Democrats got their aerobic workout for the night.
Maybe it’s just me, but it seems strange to see the President signing autographs after the address. To add to the weirdness, he signed a tie last night.
Maybe it will start a trend. But what’s next? Groupies throwing their underthings at the President to sign? *shudder*

These tweets were hilarious! No, I didn’t watch (at a meeting). If I could find an edited version of the SOTU address with all the lengthy applause tracks removed, I might could watch the thing in ten minutes flat. As it is, I’m trying to decide how many hours I’m willing to devote to viewing all that political posturing with ideas that probably won’t go anywhere in gridlock Washington…
And my favorite tweet was the comparison to Statler & Waldorf. Now that I think about it, those guys would have made great congressmen. They’d have my vote! LOL.

Oh man. Drinking games? I knew I forgot something! I dug Obama’s speech and the poking around on Twitter afterwards. I had chills learning that this was the first time that “transgender” was stated (and positively, yay) in history. Woot!
