I had another post planned for today, but I’ll post it on Tuesday instead. This video was forwarded by my mom *waves hi* – and it moved me so much I had to share it with you.
No matter the country, the language, the religion, the ideology or politics…we have all, at one time or another, taken delight in dance. In whatever form, it is part of the human spirit.
Enjoy!

Have a great weekend,
Kathy
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing this inspiring video, Kathy. Dance as a universal language; I love it. 🙂
Thanks, August!
I love this video, Kathy! I’m so glad you shared it! Think I’ll share some more.
Definitely worth sharing! Thanks, Marcia. 🙂
This made my day! Thank you for deciding to post this — and thank your mother for sending it! Happy tears.
That’s great, Amy! Thanks so much.
Yep, I’m with Amy…I cried too. I’m late to the party (I got pulled away the first time I came here) but I LOVED it. 🙂
Thanks, Jenny! Yep, I got a little choked up, too. 🙂
I wanna go to Trinidad! 😉
So wonderful! Thank you for sharing!
Very colorful locals, eh? thanks for stopping by, Renee!
How fabulous! I loved all of it. (Although my heart broke a little seeing that the Damascus, Syria people had to have their faces scrambled. May freedom come there!)
League City (firefighter dance) is next door to my town, maybe a five-minute drive to the city limits. So that appearance was really cool. Thanks for sharing!
So the firefighter scene was close by? Wow, that’s really cool, Julie! And I thought it was sad, too, that the faces in Syria had to be blurred. I hope there is a positive change that comes out of what’s going on there.
LOVE this video Kathy. Thanks so much for sharing. Got me rocking out in my office….woot woot!!!
You bet, Natalie! Love the upbeat stuff. 😀
I clicked your link this morning from Jenny’s ‘More Cowbell’ page, and boy, am I glad that I did! That YouTube video was inspired and so much fun. It helped me to kick off my day with a great, big smile on my face and an urge to dance. Thanks!
Aww, thanks Kitt! Love to spread smiles. It made me want to dance, too! So glad you stopped by. 😀
Kathy,
I’m also glad I followed your link from Jenny’s More Cowbell blog. This is a great video! The world is a beautiful place, full of bright people and friendly faces that get crowded out by the cogs and machinery of politics, media and misinformation. I have been to a number of those places, and have friends and colleagues from nearly every one of those countries.
Videos like this should be a reminder to us that the rare glimpse that our society may get of a country is often contrary to the very nature and beauty of the people that live there. Thanks for sharing!
Zack, that is very well put. How cool that you got to travel so extensively! How enriching that must be. Thanks so much for stopping by!
Thanks Kathy. I LOVE to travel (must have some gypsy blood). Enriching is a good word for it. There is a certain education that can only be obtained by delving into a foreign culture, mingling with its people, sharing its food and passion, and living as they do. Thank you for the wonderful post!
